Some Obedience Work and a Treasure Hunt

Some video clips of Kedge and I practicing our obedience work. He's 4 1/2 mo old now and learning fast. :o) Though its a bit difficult to tape us, treat and watch him thought the viewfinder.

We also started playing with the tunnel today, which he enjoyed a lot. However I didn't get video of that. :O( Maybe next time?




Kedge amazingly STILL fits in his toy box. I thought it'd be funny to share a video of him when he is treasure hunting for a specific toy. What toy it is, changes each time. Though his method is the same. :o)

Crew in the Fields 4-21-09

Just uploaded a couple of videos of the crew from yesterday. We're finally getting some green grass and better weather, though today was pretty nasty out.

Kedge took Best of Opposite Puppy again today! Three for three!

I'm glad that he's home though! When his ride home opened up the back of the car, I got a BIG "ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" that just kept going. lmao It took about 5 minutes for him to calm down enough so that I could open his crate.

Thanks again to Katherine and Jill for taking Kedge along. To Katherine for handling him, and to Francine and both Katherine and Lily for letting Kedge join our family. Thanks guys!

Show Update # 2

I'm on cloud nine!

Francine just called me with the results of the afternoon show.

Kedge took Best Opposite Puppy again!!! Under a different judge even! Woo hoo!

They're letting him rest for the morning show tomorrow, then he'll be showing in the afternoon. Francine said that he's behaving wonderfully for them, though he did need to get a second bath since after they got there, he rolled in a huge pile of dirt! lmao

I guess he misunderstood me when I told him we'd find a mudpuddle to play in when he got home.... ;)

Show Update # 1

Kedge is doing 3 shows this weekend. I just got a call from Francine with the results of the first show.

Kedge took Best Opposite Puppy out of the all the 2-4 and 4-6mo puppies.

Supposedly there was a really nice turnout too, so it was better than his 2nd place out of 3 at the last show.

So, I'm still really learning conformation lingo but she explained that he took best of the 4-6 mo males, a female took Best of Breed puppies, and he took the best male(hence Best Opposite). So I guess its like 2nd place Best of Breed puppy?

If someone else with better show term knowledge wants to confirm or fix my interpretation, it'd be much appreciated. lol

So Kedge is on his way to Syracuse, NY for the ASCA Spring has Sprung shows with Katherine and Jill. He remembered Katherine and jumped right into her arms and barely even looked back. I think he'll have a blast this weekend. Cheesy Though the house is pretty quiet without the youngun. All the old fogey-fied pups are snoring away. I think they're enjoying the peace a little, though Mojo really did seem concerned that we left without Kedge. Maybe he's actually growing on the old codger. ;)
